Team mambo has released a collection of the Core Components, Modules & Mambots delivered as individual installable extension packages. The release of the Core Extensions as separate installable packages comes in response to requests from users who have accidentally (or not!) deleted a core Component, Module or Mambot and been unable to restore them without rather more effort. The Core extensions also provide a great starting place for the developer who wants to modify one of the core functions or who wishes to learn from the architecture of these useful pieces of Open Source code.

Those of you who are experimenting with the new "Mambo in the Raw" release (see below) will find the Core Extensions extremely useful, as you will be able to select the Components, Modules and Mambots you wish to install on top of the Raw Core release -- enabling you to build exactly the Mambo configuration you want.
