Starting today, we will be accepting Mambo template ideas from the community. On November 15, we will submit the template designs to a vote by the community. The winning design will be chosen as the default template for Mambo 4.5.3 and deployed with the new release. The next 2 highest rated templates will also be included with the distribution as alternative templates.

The requirements:

• Submit your design prototypes as .png or .jpg files only, please
• Template designs may use either 2 or 3 column layouts, and should plan for the same set of modules, components and sample content currently deployed in the Mambo default distribution
• All images included must be free from copyright or use restrictions
• Templates must be unique ? they cannot be used for existing or future sites
• Pure CSS layouts are preferred, but not required
• XHTML compliance is required
• Purpose-built templates are also encouraged, e.g., ?portal? or ?blog? or ?personal site?, etc.
• Winners will be required to submit original artwork via PhotoShop or Fireworks (with layers intact) within 5 days of notification

Join the competition! It?s a great way for you to promote your design skills. The designer?s names will remain in each template and the winners will be showcased and announced here.
